Sandra Park, M.D.

Psychotherapy, Psychopharmacology & Emotional Well-Being

In addition to her private practice in psychiatry, Dr. Park holds voluntary faculty appointments at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center and the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Treatment and Research. She has lectured on a number of topics including theories of the self and narcissism, psychodynamic psychotherapy, women’s mental health, and cultural psychiatry. For her efforts, she received the outstanding teaching award from the psychiatry residents at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

A graduate of Barnard College and the State University of New York at Buffalo Medical School, Dr. Park completed her residency training in adult psychiatry at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center. At Cornell, she served as Chief Resident and was the recipient of the outstanding teaching award given by the Cornell medical students. Dr. Park subsequently pursued psychoanalytic training at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, and was certified in psychoanalysis by the American Psychoanalytic Association.
